This was not a planned breeding by any means and initially it was very upsetting to me. I had planned to wait for Soly's third heat cycle before allowing Soly & Kumo to breed. I couldn't believe when I saw the two mating because I know I had secured Kumo in his crate while I went to another room. But, I guess it's true that where there is a will there is a way. Kumo definately had the will because somehow he found the way to get himself out of the crate. After going thru anger, denial and disappointment, I decided to look at the bright side. I have been blessed with beautiful, healthy puppies that without a doubt will bring much love and happiness to their new owners for many years to come. I decided to name the litter "Paw Prints" because I am confident that the puppies will leave an everlasting imprint in the lives of their humans.

Paw Print #1 is a handsome, intelligent pup who looks like he'll be a BIG boy. Has big paws and a solid built. He's the largest of the litter and takes on the bigger mals without hesitation. My baby sumo wrestler. LOL... I call him by the name "Mansu" (don't even know if that even means anything, just started calling him that one day. Couldn't call him by the name "Sumo" (wrestler) because that would be too similar to his daddy's name, KUMO. He's a joy to have and will make his new owner(s) very happy.

Paw Print #2 is the smallest of the litter. She's having a difficult time with weaning. She persists on having nothing but her mommy's milk. Stubborn! Her mommy, Soly, insists that she is done nursing so they are battling it out. Slowly but surely this little girl will have to give in. I refer to her as my "Mani" which means "Peanut" in Spanish. I just ususally call her by the nickname "NiNi". She may be small but, she is fisty and doesnot allow herself to be pushed around by the rest of the pack. She's got such a beautiful, angelic face and looks to have a semi wooly coat. Cutie!!!

11/19/09 UPDATE: PAW PRINT #2 has been completely weaned for a several weeks now and eats as if making up for lost time. She is still small for her age. Vet thinks she'll catch up but, I'm not so sure. She looks to me as if she will stay small. She looks like a little wolf cub. Adorable!

PAW PRINT #3 sold before he was 8-weeks-old. I delivered him to his new family in Miami once he turned 8-weeks-old. I enjoyed the short time I had with him at home. He was my little monkey! Very curious, observant, swift, and fast learner for such a young pup. Miss him but, I'm happy knowing that he went to a nice family where he is showered with love by both immediate and extended family members.
