Our Soly silently passed away on 1/6/11. The vet's believe she may have suffered an aneurysm since she did
not have history of health problems nor did she have any symptoms of being ill prior to passing away. She was behaving her
usual self and then went into what appeared to be a sudden sleep and never awoke. We tried to revive her but, to
no avail; she passed away instantly. She did not appear to suffer and I thank God for that. She was only 2-yrs-old and
full of vigor. She brought us so much joy in the short time she was with us and I am so grateful for having had her in my
life. Please love your pets more, hug them tighter, and kiss on them longer.
This poem is dedicated to Solymar: 11/14/2/08 -1/6/11
Miss you & Love you, Soly!!! R.I.P.
YOU ARE NOT HERE BUT, YOU ARE NOT GONE
I have to remind myself not to call out your name because you are not here. But, I will always recall the
many happy moments we shared and your name will always make me smile even while I tear.
I have to remember to no longer fill your food and water bowls because you are not here. And,
oh, how that makes me cry. But, in my mind I can still see you wagging your tail as you would wipe your food bowl
clean and lap your water bowl dry.
I have to put away your leash and toys because you are not here. But, I have so many fond memories
of our walks and the many games we played over the years. I replay our precious time together over and over in my
head, my sweet dear.
I can not hug and kiss you, like before, because you are not here. But, in my heart I am
hugging and kissing you still. I will always carry with me the joy of your unconditional love. I pray that you knew how
much I love you and always will.
As I stare at your grave I know you are not here. But, you are not gone. For in my heart, my love
for you is engraved and in my memory you will always be near.
