PUPPY DAY
I wake up early in the morning and howl......so I can let mommy and daddy know that my stomach
growls.
Mommy gets up to prepare my meal while daddy lets me out so I can pee, poop, run around or just
chill.
Back home as I eat and drink I waggle my bootie and tail.
Mommy and daddy chuckle and give me hugs and kisses without fail.
Mommy and daddy play with me. Playtime is the best.
We play, play, and play until finally I need some rest.
When I wake up from my nap, I look about.
Daddy quickly lets me out.
I dig, dig, and dig. And I think to myself, "I'm Big!"
I'm so overjoyed that I hop, skip, and run over puddles.
I'm all muddy now.... so mommy prepares for me a warm bath full of bubbles.
I don't like it at first but, then I begin to splash.
I stick out my tongue and make mommy and daddy laugh.
All dried and warm I decide to lay down for a while.
Then I awake again and think,"What should I do now?".
I sit quietly as I think of my next plan. Then, BAM.......
I jump wildly from couch to couch until daddy yells,
"Get off the couch NOW!"
Mommy tickles my belly and I roll on my back with glee.
Daddy teaches me new tricks and gives me treats.Yeepee!
Mommy calls me to eat and I fill my tummy.
I look up at my mommy with love so as to say,
"Thank you mommy, that was yummy."
Mommy and daddy take me to the park.
There I see dogs and begin to bark.
I'm excited to meet new play mates.
Mommy and daddy set up future play dates.
On our way home, mommy and daddy stop to buy me goodies and toys.
At home, I get a bowlful of cool water and ice chips. Oh Boy!
Mommy and daddy cuddle me before taking me to bed.
I lay awake thinking about my day and what's ahead.
Then, slowly my eye lids begin to close but,
not before I hear my mommy and daddy pray:
Thank You Dear Lord for having blessed us with our puppy another day.
